Catherine Oster is the Mid-Continent Asset Manager and Planning Manager for Devon Energy. She leads a multi-disciplined team of engineers, geologists, and planning professionals to evaluate, plan and develop these oil & gas assets. This includes managing a $250MM annual capital budget, executing approximately 30 new wells, and managing a multi-year technical plan for the Mid-Continent asset.
She joined Devon in 2004 and held various engineering roles before taking leadership positions in engineering, strategic planning, and asset management. Before joining Devon, she worked for Texaco in 2000 which became ChevronTexaco in 2001 as a both a production and reservoir engineer. She has led or served on various corporate initiatives such as Reservoir Engineering Center of Excellence, Analytics Center of Excellence, Integrated Reservoir Characterization, Appraisal Process, and Corporate Planning Process.
She has a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Oklahoma. Oster is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
Catherine also serves as Past Board President for Girl Scouts Western Oklahoma and a member of Crossings Community Church. She is married and mother to 9-year-old twins who are all passionate about scouting.
