School's out, but the learning doesn't stop! Science Museum Oklahoma offers fantastic camps for Oklahoma City metro families. Science Museum Oklahoma offers camps for kids from pre-K up to 6th grade in the winter, spring, summer and fall. Camp themes vary each season and camps never repeat a day, ensuring your young scientist gets a new experience each session of camp. Weeklong camps take place in the spring and summer, with shorter camps in the fall and winter.

This after-hours programs is for adults 21+ only — every SMO 21 features a unique theme with unforgettable hands-on experiences, access to the entire museum, dinner options in the cafe and a cash bar. Learn how our (and your!) garden grows! During SMO's regular What's Growing On? programs, guests will learn about gardening techniques, maintenance, and follow along as gardens and grounds staff take care of the SMO Gardens. Science Museum Oklahoma takes a night at the museum to a whole new level with Science Overnights. Begin the evening with a live science show, engage in special hands-on activities, experience a Kirkpatrick Planetarium show and camp out among the exhibits. Science Overnights are currently available for private groups.

The Teen Apprentice Program at Science Museum Oklahoma is designed for students aged 13-17 years old. Apprentices experience behind-the-scenes workings of a science museum while increasing science literacy and honing job skills. Applications will be accepted in the spring. Learn more >>

Tinkerfest

Tinkerfest is a daylong celebration of curiosity and creativity! Tinkerfest encompasses the entire museum and grounds, bringing together makers, artists, crafters, engineers, and educators to showcase how their diverse skills converge. Have you ever repaired something that was broken? Toyed with a recipe? Taken something apart just to see what was inside? That's tinkering!

Oklahoma Museum Network

The OMN, funded by the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation, is a statewide collaboration of partner museums working together to provide hands-on discovery learning and science resources to families, students and educators across the state. Each partner museum features science exhibits that rotate twice a year — like the Red Dirt Dinos — providing unique learning opportunities and new experiences.

OMN also provides the very best in teacher inquiry professional development, allowing educators to increase classroom effectiveness across the curriculum, and offers the Science Matters Mobile Museum, an immersive exhibit on wheels that engages students in crazy, captivating science adventures.
