National Air Dates Set for 'DIY Sci' Episodes Filmed at Science Museum Oklahoma
June 10, 2019A washing machine robot that can paint, a giant chain reaction machine made up of bowling balls, a rocket, belt sanders and more, do-it-yourself miniature rollercoasters, and plenty of try-this-at-home science fun are featured in two upcoming episodes of Steve Spangler’s “Xploration DIY Sci” filmed at Science Museum Oklahoma and set to air nationally this summer as part of season three of the mind-blowing science show.
An “Ellen DeGeneres Show” regular and two-time Emmy Award-winning science educator, Spangler has been a frequent guest of SMO in recent years presenting his popular teacher trainings and in February traveled to Oklahoma City to film two episodes of his interactive “Xploration DIY Sci” series with SMO staff and guests.
“Science Museum Oklahoma inspires me as an educator to push the limits and create unforgettable experiences for anyone who loves science,” said Spangler. “I pitched the idea of highlighting SMO on our show in hopes of using our platform to encourage people from around the country to experience this amazing place.”
The episodes will air at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 16 and Sunday, July 21 on KOKH FOX 25 in the Oklahoma City viewing area and will later be available streaming on Amazon Prime, Roku and the Xploration Station website.
