STEM Camps for Kids in Oklahoma City

If you’re looking for engaging STEM and STEAM camps in Oklahoma City, Science Museum Oklahoma offers five exciting camp programs throughout the year—winter, spring, summer, fall, and special break camps. Designed for pre-K through 6th grade (typically ages 4 – 12), our camps keep kids learning, exploring, and having fun even when school is out. With hands-on science activities, creative problem-solving, and interactive experiments, our camps spark curiosity and make every school break an adventure!

Funny Fairytales: Science in Disguise!

Once upon a time… science was hiding in your favorite fairytales! Enjoy a magical storytime followed by hands-on STEAM activities that bring the tale to life. From beanstalks to bridges, we’ll explore the silly side of science and a little bit of fairytale fun!

Take THAT Apart

If you’ve ever wanted to open up a gadget just to see what’s inside, this is the camp for you! Let’s dive into the hidden world of machines, toys, and technology. Using real tools and safety gear, campers will carefully take apart electronics to explore how gears, motors, wires, and switches work together to make things go, light up, or make noise.

Ice Age Animals: Science, Survival, and the Stories We Tell

Step into the frozen past to uncover the real science behind Ice Age creatures — and the myths they inspired. From towering woolly mammoths to saber-toothed cats, and even frost-covered dragons of legend, we’ll explore the fascinating blend of science fact and science fiction that surrounds cold-climate creatures, both extinct and alive today.

The Engineer that Could

Little hands can build big ideas! In this camp, curious kids will become budding engineers through hands-on STEAM activities. From building boats that really float, to guiding tiny robots with simple coding commands, to designing and testing their own marble runs. Campers will tinker, test, and try again, just like real engineers do!

The Chills

Our teeth are chattering, our knees are knocking, and we’re pretty sure our toes might freeze solid! When the temperature drops, our bodies react in some wild and surprising ways. As the seasons change and the wind picks up, we’ll dive into the science of how humans adapt to cold and discover the biology behind the brrr, and how to beat it!

Crack codes, solve puzzles, and explore the science behind escape rooms! In this fast-paced, team-based camp, students will dive into logic, circuitry, and engineering as they design and build their own mini escape room challenges.
