Designed with for little hands and fresh minds, Kid Space and Family Space prove that there is no such thing as being “too young” for science! Your little scientist can put on a puppet show, play at the water table, make bubbles or paint their face in a safe and secure environment. Touch, play, learn and explore at stations and exhibits specifically targeted to engaging young minds.
The exhibit has a private nursing room, complete with changing stations and rocking chairs, so you can handle your infant’s needs in a peaceful environment. The room is equipped with live video monitors to help you keep an eye on your other little scientists while they work.
Have you ever heard the saying “learn by doing”? Kid Space and Family Space allows children to experience what Science Museum Oklahoma has to offer with exhibits designed specifically for little hands, young minds and big imaginations. While it might seem like play to adults, a great deal of learning takes place as infants and toddlers begin to explore the world around them.
The exhibits in Kid Space and Family Space introduce young learners to scientific concepts, such as echoes, reflections, sound and light. As children get hands-on, they begin to explore, question and discover. After all, it’s never too young to get excited about science!
Hey parents, you don’t feel like you have to sit on the sidelines in this exhibit. There are a variety of stations where you can interact and play side-by-side with your little scientist. Help foster the wonder and relevance of science!

For the first five years of life, children learn and process information faster than in subsequent years. In fact, a child’s brain can absorb and retain concepts and ideas at a higher level than adults!
