The Apprentice Program at Science Museum Oklahoma provides an opportunity for young people to develop an appreciation and understanding of science, technology, aviation and aerospace concepts under the guidance of experienced staff members. TEEN APPRENTICES

Teens ages 13-15 years old with an interest in learning within a museum environment are encouraged to apply. Science Museum Oklahoma Apprentice Program goals include:

  • To provide a program that will actively involve teens in assisting staff members in fulfilling the mission of Science Museum Oklahoma.
  • To help participants develop marketable skills for future career opportunities.
  • To stimulate and encourage participants’ knowledge and interests in the world around them including science, art and history.
  • To encourage the exploration of various career opportunities available in the field of science and museums.
  • To cultivate a lifelong commitment and appreciation of volunteerism.
  • To assist students in acquiring required service hours for schools, clubs, special organizations and group memberships.
  • To provide documentation of training and accomplishments for college applicants.
